Nigeria Cassava Growers Association (NCGA) has said that the country is on the verge of realising N54 billion ($150 million) from two million tons of cassava this year.
It was learnt that the tonnage would be produced to meet industrial demands in the farming season.
National President of the association Mr. Segun Adewumi, who stated this in an interview, said that the move would require the cultivation of additional 100,000 hectares for cassava production.Read more
